Message from the Board
The Cherry Creek Culture of Excellence

The mission of the Cherry Creek School District is “To inspire every student to think, to learn, to achieve, to care.”  It is a simple, but powerful statement that has served us well for many years, as proven by our students, time and time again.

• Our students consistently score above the state average on CSAP tests and above state and national averages on ACT and SAT tests.
• They donate countless hours in community service and raise thousands of dollars for charitable causes.
• Our graduates earn tens of millions of dollars in scholarships and attend the nation’s best colleges and universities, military academies and vocational schools.
• They are leaders in science, business, industry and government and contribute to their communities as educated, involved citizens.

Though times have changed and the pressures on public education have increased, our mission remains steadfast, as does our commitment to it.  As your elected representatives, the members of the Board of Education make decisions based solely on what is best for students, not on politics or popularity.  Our mission provides us with clear direction; a common, unwavering goal.

By remaining true to our mission at all times, we have created a Culture of Excellence that encompasses our students, staff and community.  That culture attracts the best teachers and empowers them to meet the needs of all students through dedication and innovation.  It ensures that students learn in a safe and caring environment, with exceptional educators and a quality curriculum, enriched with outstanding arts, athletics and activities.  That culture benefits our community by providing an educated workforce and supporting strong, stable property values.

It is our community that has made our Culture of Excellence possible.  Since our district was founded in 1950, the citizens of Cherry Creek have made quality education a priority.  You have invested in a bright future for your children and grandchildren, yourself and your community.  Your investment continues to pay a strong return, as the students of Cherry Creek graduate, prepared for success in college, in the global economy, in our democratic society, and in life.

Thank you for your partnership in creating our Culture of Excellence and supporting our mission “To inspire every student to think, to learn, to achieve, to care.”
