安全與保障 (Safety & Security)
使命
櫻桃溪學區致力於創造一個安全,尊重,和包容的學習環境。在此環境裡社區所有成員共同努力,促進學術卓越,公民事務和社交能力。所有教職員,學生和家長皆可協助創造一個安全的學校。
 
學區安全工作
櫻桃溪學區致力於創造安全,可靠和關懷互愛的學習環境。這個重點導致了一個全面性的學校安全計劃,其中包括學生的人身安全/保障和“心理安全”的針對性連接。
 
人身安全,包括訪問者入校驗證和身份證明,視頻監控,準備工作的規劃和事故演習演練,是為各種潛在的事故作準備。學區和學校危機計劃符合國家國土安全部、當地緊急救援人員和公眾安全官員的建議,並使用了國家事故管理系統(NIMS)所概述的一般反應做法。
 
心理安全是為了學生的社會情感福祉而提供的。通過品格發展、欺淩預防、積極行為的支持、和儘早識別高危學生和介入等措施,創造積極的學校氣氛。
 
學區的《安全學校設計團隊》,從學區各部門和學校組成的工作人員,不斷更新學區的規劃和資源,以反映當前的需要和世界發生事件。在過去的幾年中,學區在維護安全上的努力,諸如對科倫白(Columbine) 和其他學校有關的槍擊事件,911日恐怖攻擊,和國內恐怖主義的潛在威脅的事件作出反應。為了防備潛在的危機事件,已培訓教職員和學生和實施演習。
 
每所學校有一個運作的學校安全工作小組,監督學校心理和人身安全計劃,危機反應和恢復小組,負責監督和實現學校的急需危機應對計劃。美國教育部(2004)推薦學區《綜合安全學校計劃》的主要組成部分和學校安全計劃概念,是學區安全三角努力不懈的目標。

防備/規劃
準備工作包括學校發展一套危機情況發生時,有效的作出反應的計劃。這也包括對於有困難行為的青少年,規劃有效的干預措施,包括對所有教職員、 學生和家長的培訓 《暴力行為的預警信號:為陷入困境的兒童獲得幫助》〈Early Warning Signs of Violence: Getting Help for Troubled Children〉。
 
干預/回應
學區和學校對潛在的危險或陷於危機的處境和/或學生,有回應的協案。干預措施是為那些可能不回應預防措施的學生而設計的。這還包括實施區團隊危險評估程序,和需要的時候,使用 RTI/問題解決過程。
 
危機回應 /恢復
恢復包括學校社區在應對危機局勢期間和之後,對學生和工作人員的關心和恢復所使用的適當步驟。我們的目標是學校要重返關懷和支援的學習環境。
