The Early Childhood Programs in Cherry Creek provide a planned educational experience for pre-elementary children. Our goal is to foster the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth of each child to emphasize total development. Because all children are individuals with specific needs, we attempt to offer rich and satisfying experiences in a sensible progression, allowing the children to proceed at their own pace.

The Cherry Creek Schools has developed a vision of preschool programs which reflects the community orientation. Our program strives to meet the developmental needs of all children in a creative, nurturing way. Each child is given maximum consideration as an individual. The classes are professionally staffed with early childhood educators and specialists, working in an enriched educational environment.

Our activities focus on the process of learning. We encourage natural curiosity and love of learning in each child. Through self-choice activity centers we encourage children to explore and understand their world. Through exploration, children gain confidence in themselves, learn to use varied materials, take turns, share, be leaders and followers, and delve deeper into content. Staff members are involved with the children, facilitating and challenging each child at his/her appropriate level.

The Early Childhood Programs provide opportunities for parents to gain confidence as the prime educators of their children by acquiring further knowledge and understanding of child growth and development. Information and guidance are also available about community resources for families seeking additional support.
