Online Application Instructions
I already applied online. I want to update my application with a new posting.
If you are currently a certified employee for Cherry Creek Schools, click here to be directed to the
in-district transfer form
. All other applicants proceed to the application.
The application will take approximately 15-20 minutes to complete.
You will provide a User ID and select a password. Using your User ID and password, you will be able to return to your application in the future to make changes, corrections or additions.
Have the following information available for reference:
Colleges/universities attended, degree earned, major and graduation date
License type, level, endorsement, date of issue and expiration date
Experience; dates of teaching, student teaching, substitute teaching, and non-teaching experience, name of school/organization, name of supervisor, contact phone number and email address
Three (3) professional references including name, title, organization, work phone, and home phone and email address, if available
Cities, counties, and states you have lived in over the past seven (7) years
Driver's license number
In addition to completing an application, you will need to upload the following documents to your application in order to complete the application process:
Transcripts from all universities and colleges attended (unofficial copies accepted)
Three current letters of recommendation (required)
A copy of your current Colorado Teaching License.
If you do not have a current Colorado Teaching License, please send a statement to inform us of your progress toward licensure. Contact the Colorado Department of Education for further information regarding licensure. If you have a license from another state, please provide us with a copy.
The Cherry Creek School District complies with the rules and regulations set forth by the Colorado Department of Education in terms of hiring candidates who are CURRENTLY LICENSED OR ENDORSED IN THE APPROPRIATE CONTENT AREA(S).

NOTE: To apply for certain positions you MUST have the appropriate application on file, i.e., to apply for Certified Positions, you must have a Certified application on file. If you only have a classified application on file and you attempt to apply for a certified position you will be prompted with an error message. Please sign into your application and complete the appropriate application.

Frequently Asked Questions
STEP 1: Review/Interview
When a vacancy occurs, applications are reviewed to determine if the applicant meets the requirements for the designated position. Interviews are then scheduled, at the school where the vacancy exists, for the applicants who best meet the qualifications of the position.
STEP 2: Appointment to a position
Appointment to a position is made after a candidate has verbally accepted a contract offer, holds a current Colorado License, and has passed a background check. Salary placement is based upon verification of prior years' experience and receipt of official transcripts. Prior experience is defined as a full year of service under contract at the time that the individual is fully credentialed.
