New service entry at Buffalo Trail Elementary

The summer of 2016 has been a busy one for CCSD Maintenance Operations. In addition to the normal cleaning, painting and mowing, staff members have been working on important maintenance and improvement projects. These projects ensure our schools are safe and comfortable for students and staff and protect the investment taxpayers have made in CCSD facilities.

New roof and HVAC system at Polton Elementary

For example, the roof was replaced at Arrowhead and Polton elementary schools. New carpeting was laid at Belleview and Rolling Hills. Heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) upgrades were done at Dry Creek, Eastridge and Polton. Those upgrades included new boilers and roof top units. Holly Ridge received a significant renovation which included floor leveling treatments, restroom and office remodels, painting and playground improvements. New kitchen freezers were installed at several schools. Mechanical upgrades were made at Laredo Middle School and the gym floors were refinished at Thunder Ridge Middle School.

Some of the projects were completed with General Fund/Capital Reserve dollars while others were the final projects funded by the 2012 bond program. All of those projects will be completed on time and on budget.
