Cherry Creek School District offers high quality, affordable preschool

Did you know the Cherry Creek School District offers high quality, affordable preschool at more than 20 locations across the district?

The Cherry Creek Early Childhood Preschool program provides an outstanding preschool experience for young children between the ages of 2 years, 10 months and 5 years, 10 months old. There are many things that make the program exceptional, including:
•    An extremely low staff to student ratio - every preschool classroom is staffed by a classroom team consisting of an Early Childhood teacher, teaching assistant(s), occupational therapist, Early Childhood special educator, speech/language pathologist and mental health professional.
•    Creative Curriculum – comprehensive, scientifically-based early childhood curriculum that emphasizes all areas of development including literacy, math, the arts (music, art, dance, dramatic play), social studies, science, motor skills (gross, fine and sensory) and social/emotional development.

The Cherry Creek Early Childhood Preschool program supports the development of a child’s relationship with him or herself and others, self-esteem and the ability to express feelings. It also supports a child’s understanding of words, pronunciation and vocabulary and helps them develop memory, attention span, problem solving, analytical thinking and other skills that will help them succeed in kindergarten and beyond.

Parents can choose from morning or afternoon sessions, either two days or four days a week. Current tuition information is available here.

Some families may be eligible for free or reduced-price tuition if their child has special needs or risk factors that qualify them for one of the following programs: Special Education, Colorado Preschool Program, Head Start.

The Cherry Creek Early Childhood Preschool program does have openings for the remainder of this school year and will soon be accepting applications for next year.  For more information, a list of preschool locations or to apply, please visit http://earlychildhood.cherrycreekschools.org.
