Prairie Middle School’s premier choral ensemble, Prairie Voices, under the direction of Prairie choir teacher Philip Drozda, performed at the Colorado Music Educators Association Conference on Jan. 29. The 65 seventh and eighth grade students traveled to the Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs and gave an energetic, powerful performance to a packed and enthusiastic audience of music educators from around the state. Every year school music ensembles have the opportunity to send in an audition recording to perform at the conference. Being selected to perform is considered one of the highest honors a school music ensemble in Colorado can achieve. Congratulations to Prairie Voices!
