In February, you will meet with counselors and members of the CTHS
staff to select your courses. After February, call the counseling office
or registrar.

What courses will be offered?
The Academic Program of Study will be ready in February and will be
distributed through the middle schools and CTHS. It is also available on
the web site.

When will I get my class schedule?
Students pick up schedules a week before school starts.

How do I get an Intra district or Out of district transfer form?
Intra district forms are available in every school office and need to
be returned to their current school. Out of district forms can be
picked up from District Admission offices.

When will I learn my bus schedule?
In August, district transportation will mail information to each family.

If my Intra district or Out of district transfer form is accepted, will transportation be provided?
No, you must furnish your own transportation.

Will there be a chance for my son or daughter to participate in sports?
There will be many opportunities for CTHS students to be active
members of both boys and girls sports teams. Additionally, we are
excited that athletes will have the opportunity to work with the varsity
coaches of their respective sports.

Does CTHS operate as an open or closed campus?
Due to concern for students safety, CTHS is a closed campus for 9th grade.

What kind of schedule does CTHS have?
Students attend on an alternating block schedule. Students meet A day period 1-4 and B day period 1-4.

What are the starting and ending times for school?
Cherokee Trail High School (CTHS) starts at 7:10 a.m. and ends at 2:44 p.m..

Do students have free time during the day?
Freshman students will be scheduled into resource periods or seminars
supervised by adults, they may earn their way out of these supervised
classrooms if their grades and behaviors meet the expectations of CTHS.
First and foremost, we want to provide opportunities for your son or
daughter to have a successful academic career at our high school.
Upperclassman generally have off periods.

Will there be activity/athletic buses late in the day that my son or daughter be able to access?
No, parents are expected to provide transportation home after activities and athletics. |
