STEM education is an economic imperative. Experts say that technological innovation accounted for almost half of U.S. economic growth over the past 50 years, and almost all of the 30 fastest growing occupations in the next decade will require at least some background in STEM.
 
CTHS is proud to offer the STEM Baccalaureate as an option for students to explore.

 Women Still Underrepresented

 
Although women fill close to half of all jobs in the U.S. economy, they hold less than 25% of STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) jobs, according to the U.S. Department of Commerce report Women in STEM: A Gender Gap to Innovation.
