MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear Coyote Hills Parents, Staff and Students,
Thank you for the opportunity to be part of the exceptional Coyote Hills team. It is with great excitement I write this to all of you. Coyote Hills is an extremely high performing school with dedicated students, staff and parents and I am honored to be a part of the team. I want to take this time to speak to you from my heart and give you insight on who I am as a person and principal. I have been married for thirteen years to my intelligent, beautiful wife Brenda and we are blessed with three wild and fun loving boys, Kaden 9, Ian 7, and Rylan 5. Needless to say, it is very busy at our house. I have been in education for sixteen years both as a teacher and administrator. I view education through the lenses of principal, teacher and father. These perspectives serve me well when making decisions that impact the learning and lives of students and families.
I take my role seriously and understand you are sharing your most precious possession with us each and every day. My goal is to make sure the time they spend at our school is safe, valuable, engaging, and fun. I want students to be excited to share what they have learned in the car on the way home or at the dinner table. My goal is to never have a child answer the question “What did you learn in school today?” with “Nothing”. Each day at Coyote Hills will make your child’s dreams of the future more of a reality. As principal of Coyote Hills, I will maintain the excellence in academics and liberal arts and continue to push all of us to grow as learners. The challenge of education is that the bar is continually being raised higher for our students in all areas. I truly feel energized thinking of our possibilities.
I am eager to meet all of you in the car pool lane or in the halls of the school. Know my door is always open and I hope you will take time to introduce yourself and share ideas.
Thank you again for the opportunity to be part of the Coyote Hills team. I cannot wait to begin this next part of my educational journey with all of you.
Regards,
Christopher Smith
