Dry Creek has a subscription for all students for the in-school version of Education City, but home use requires an additional fee of $15.  We encourage you to sign up for home access.  All progress made at home will be reflected in your child’s Education City account at school.  If you are interested in signing up for home use please fill out the Education City Home Use form from your child’s Back to School Packet or contact Kimberly Benfield to get a new form.

Lexia Reading is a program our school is using for grades K-2 to help students develop their reading skills.  We encourage you to download the software so that your child can continue work on Lexia at home.  To download software please click here. Follow the simple steps to install and configure the software.  Please contact Kimberly Benfield to get our school’s customer ID number and your child’s username.

Type to Learn 4:  This is a great web-enabled program to practice keyboarding skills. Students can now work on Type to Learn 4 at home continuing on where they left off at school. Download and install the Full Version of Type to Learn 4 program onto your home computer(s) i.e. Windows or Mac by navigating to the following website by clicking here. After downloading and installing the program, your child can login to the application with his/her username (same as AR username), password: ttl, and account code: 119776. Be sure to check out the system requirements before downloading. Although web-enabled it does require quite a large installation download (appx 1GB). Please contact Kimberly Benfield for more detailed instructions or to get your child’s username.

k is a fully animated computer game designed to reinforce muliplication facts (They’ll be adding addition, subtraction and division by January 2012).  Dry Creek has a paid subscription so access is free to Dry Creek students.  Follow these instructions for downloading the program to your computer at home:

1. Go to the website:  www.bigbrainz.com/Schools.php

2. Select ‘Windows’ or ‘Mac’.

3. After downloading the application, navigate to Colorado, Cherry Creek 5, and Dry Creek Elementary.

4. Type in “student” for the password.
