Applied Technology
Students explore technology in a personalized, hands-on, project-based environment. Areas of study include Pneumatics, Housing, Fashion Design, Aerospace, CAD, Alternate Energy, and more! In addition to the listed modules, students may choose to construct many different projects such as CO2 cars and hot air balloons. Since students work on independent projects, this class may be taken in seventh or eighth grade. This course addresses key concepts of the technological problem solving method, the Universal Systems Model, and how to work in a modular lab.
Navigating the iWorld
Students will learn to create media rich digital projects. This course focuses on essential skills needed to create and analyze digital content. This includes digital slides, photos, audio and video production, blogs and podcasts. Students will learn all aspects of production including scripting and storyboards.
