Curriculum Description:

The mathematics program at Falcon Creek Middle School aligns with the
National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) Standards and focuses
on preparing students to:
• learn to value mathematics
• become confident in their abilities to learn mathematics
• become mathematical problem-solvers
• learn to communicate mathematically
• learn to reason mathematically
At Falcon Creek Middle School, challenging mathematics classes are offered
at each grade level to meet students’ needs and ability levels. Some
advanced courses parallel classes taught at the high school. Although classes
completed at the middle school level do not earn high school credit,
successful completion allows students the opportunity to enter advanced
math courses in high school.
