Welcome to Grandview High School
Dear Students and Parents:
Welcome to Grandview High

School! I encourage you to take time to explore our website and learn more about why we are so proud of our Grandview faculty, staff, and students.
“It is great to be a Grandview wolf” for so many reasons, but mostly because of the people who represent our Grandview community – our parents, students, teachers, and staff. Grandview is an excellent school, not only because of our high academic standards and the overall academic achievement of our students on AP, ACT, SAT, and CSAP exams but also because of the excellence that our students display on our stages, courts, fields, and mats. Our students also excel in a variety of other ways from our active student leadership group, our AVID program, FBLA, TSA, DECA, FCCLA, and Key Club just to name a few. We are also so proud of our students who give back to the community by participating in a variety of community service projects.
Grandview High School’s mission is to inspire academic achievement, responsible citizenship, and individual development in a supportive environment. Essentially, our purpose is to have each student learn so he/she is ready for college and future success. In our attempt to prepare each student for college success, we encourage students to take the most rigorous courses they can in preparation. Our goal is to have every student complete at least one Advanced Placement class before they graduate from Grandview. Our teachers work collaboratively in professional learning communities to develop curriculum and align instruction so that our students are prepared for college success.
For our students who struggle, we have academic interventions in place to help support them to learn. Our counselors, deans, psychologists, teachers, and administrators meet weekly in Professional Learning Community teams and Flex teams to create common assessments, analyze student data, monitor progress of students, and to plan interventions for struggling students.
I welcome your involvement and participation in our partnership to educate your child. Let’s have a great year, and GO WOLVES!
