Kindergarten Enrichment-Margie Costello

Greenwood Elementary Kindergarten Enrichment is valuable to the Greenwood community as an extension of the Kindergarten Day. The program is governed by the Cherry Creek School District, and by the Colorado Department of Human Services, Division of Child Care.

The objective of the Kindergarten Enrichment Program is to provide a safe and enriching “up-close” and“hands-on” learning experience for Kindergarten aged children and for their parents who desire a full day experience for their child or those who require a half-day child care service.

The Kindergarten Enrichment classes are taught by Margie Costello, an experienced teacher who has taught Kindergarten Enrichment for the Cherry Creek School District for more than 15 years. The program requires a one to fifteen teacher: child ratio. Allowing for two teacher assistants, Sheri Jeske and Brittany Miller.

Kindergarten Enrichment is an active part of the Greenwood Kindergarten team.

Program Highlights:

The time spent in the Kindergarten Enrichment Program challenges our Kindergartner's own natural, spontaneous curiosity to learn, explore and discover. Mrs. Costello plans daily opportunities to learn through activities such as individual and guided reading, stories, dramatic play, art, music, field studies, guest speakers, cooking and science.
