Area: Behavior Development Program
Provides a center based, self-contained classroom for children in grades K-3 who have an identified Emotional/Behavioral Disorder. It is a highly structured and systematic program with 1 teacher and 2 teaching assistants. Students are mainstreamed into general education classrooms when appropriate.
Area: Reading Intervention:
The Reading Center provides support to students in kindergarten - second grade. Students in first and second grade, that have been recommended by their classroom teacher, receive one-on-one reading support. This support is modeled after the SUPR Reading Program. Students meet with a reading specialist for thirty minutes per day to work using reading strategies to decode words and to get meaning from text. The Reading Center acts as a consult to kindergarten and assists with kindergarten assessments.
