The High Plains Kindergarten Enrichment Program (KEP) offers enrichment for kindergarten children during the half day that they are not attending regular kindergarten. The KE program is fee-based and self supporting. It is governed by the Cherry Creek School District and by the Colorado Department of Human Services, Division of Child Care.
KEP works very closely with the kindergarten team when creating and planning lessons. Academic support is provided and skills taught in their regular kindergarten class are reinforced. Children enjoy a full day of school while socializing with their kindergarten classmates. The program provides numerous opportunities for many hands-on experiences such as reading, stories, games, art, music, math, and science.
Program Goals:
*To provide quality child care and an enriching program that is safe, affordable, and convenient
*To assist children in their physical, intellectual, social, emotional, and creative growth
*To provide children with positive interaction and opportunities to establish relationships with peers and adults
*To provide qualified, caring staff members who participate in regular training and education
Rate Schedule
The rate for KEP is $2700.00 per school year, payable in 10 equal payments of $270.00. The first payment is due at the time of enrollment. Subsequent payments are due (prior to service) on the last day of the previous month. A late fee of $25.00 will be assessed if payment is not received within 5 days of the established due date. Make checks payable to Cherry Creek School District - ECS.
