Labels For Education - Making it easy to support Mission Viejo!
Clip UPC labels and save beverage caps to earn your school FREE educational resources for Arts, Music, Athletics, and Academics.
*Clip entire UPC label, including point value if given, from participating Labels for Education products. Not all UPCs show point value.
*You can also collect beverage caps from participating products such as V8 juices.
*Put UPCs and caps in a Ziploc or paper lunch bag and label with student's name and teacher. Turn in to the Mission Viejo Labels For Education collection bin located inside the front entrance.
*Class with the highest total points collected between 8/22/11 and 12/16/11 wins an ice cream party to be awarded in January. Top 2 students will each receive a Wal-Mart gift card.
*A second contest will start after winter break through mid May.

Mission Viejo has three parent organizations in which we would like parent participation:
The PTSCO (Parent, Teacher, Student, Community Organization)
The primary purpose of the PTSCO is to support the educational success of the school through fundraising and community events. Money raised can be used to support educational programs, community events with an academic or child focus and various school “celebrations”. The PTSCO generally meets every other month on the second Wednesday of September, November, January, March and May.
The School Accountability Committee (“Parent Accountability”)
The primary purpose of Parent Accountability is for parents and community members to review and provide input on the academic programs being implemented by the school and to ensure financial resources are allocated to ensure the success of the chosen program(s). Parent Accountability generally meets four (4) times per year in October, December, February and April.
The PASS (Partnership for Academically Successful Students) Team
The PASS Team was created to close the academic achievement gap of our Hispanic and African-American students by identifying causes of the gap and developing solutions through the collaboration of parents, family members, educators and the community. The PASS Team generally meets five (5) times per year in October, December, February, April and June.
We strongly encourage all parents to attend the meetings of these three important groups.
