Principal's Message
Dear Polton Families,

Welcome to Polton Community Elementary School, home of the Panthers!

To experience Polton is to experience an active student body, an experienced teaching staff, and a vibrant school community. Our students follow the principles of P.R.I.D.E. (Proud, Respectful, Intelligent, Determined, and Excellent!) Being proud of their school is easy as they are provided the opportunity to experience 21st Century Learning and World-Class Achievement. In our second year as one of Cherry Creek’s two STEM Elementary Schools, we are carefully designing the curriculum, standards, programs, and infrastructure to provide our students a deeper understanding in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.

As a suburban elementary school, we celebrate our diversity and are committed to excellence and equity. I believe in a commitment to equity and a dedication to the inclusion and support of individuals from all groups that encompass the characteristics of our community. Racial and cultural equity represents the “Greatest learning”, our “Greatest responsibility”, and with our success, “THE Greatest accomplishment in the history of Polton Elementary!”

Our successful educators, who consistently realize the value and potential that is inherent in each student, demonstrate understanding, respect, and appreciation for students' cultures and life experiences through their lessons, attitudes, and daily interactions. Finally, we pledge that:

* A student who has completed 6 years with us will have received a World-Class Education.
* The Colorado standards are our minimum expectation.
* Parents feel comfortable visiting and volunteering in “their” school.
* Equity for all people permeates the culture.
* The curriculum is well developed and aligned from K-5th.
* Our mission and vision are adhered to.
* POLTON P.R.I.D.E. will always be our guide.

We welcome you to what is quickly becoming “The Flagship” elementary school in Cherry Creek!

Respectfully,

Richie Strickland, Principal
