Library News
Village East Elementary School has over 16,000 books in our
collection. We work hard to keep books
updated and repaired. Students have
regular checkouts once a week with the classroom teacher. Books are due the next week. When a student misplaces a book, we ask for
$15.00 (checks written to “Village East Elementary School”). This does not cover the entire cost of the
book. Please help your students keep the
books in a safe place and return them on time.
Each year, we sponsor two BOOK FAIRS. September 19-22 will be our first one this
school year. “The Book Fair and Beyond –
Books are Out of this World” will be our theme.
The fair is usually open Monday-Thursday from 8:45 AM– 3:34 PM each
day. On Wednesday, Sept. 21, we will
have a Family Night from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM.
Plan to bring a Grandparent with you!
The Space Lab will be set up in the gymnasium. Watch for a restaurant to also be involved
that night.
April 30 – May 3 we will be turning the library into a
Hawaiian paradise. “Luau” will be the
theme. Plan now to attend this event.
We need volunteers to help shelve books, read to students
and just help around the library. If you
have 30 minutes, please consider helping us out. During the Book Fair we also need help with
set up the Friday before. If you are
interested, please call 720-747-2026.
Stop by and meet us in the library!
