funció​n activa, apoyando al personal educativo, padres de familia y alumnos. Ellos están disponibles durante los horarios regulares y programados de las escuelas. 
 
Sus deberes y responsabilidades son:
  • ​Interpretarle en su idioma en las reuniones escolares y distritales
  • Familiarizarle con las escuelas y los maestros de sus hijos.
  • Ayudarle​ a encontrar respuestas en lo que respecta a los sistemas escolares o distritales, los procesos, las expectativas académicas y culturales de la escuela.
  •  Comunicarle a su escuela cualquier motivo de preocupación o necesidad que usted tenga.
  • Organizarle conferencias con los maestros para tratar problemas de conducta o asistencia, de educación especial, académicos, u otras preguntas que usted pueda tener.
