Red Hawk Ridge Elementary awarded grant for inclusive playground after student presentation
Student Council members made their case for a playground that is more accessible and has equipment and features that will better serve all Red Hawk Ridge students, as well as people in the broader community.

CCSD Heroes: Stacey Peoples and Early Childhood Education Team create bright futures for thousands
Peoples and her team have added or converted 54 new preschool classrooms, built 17 new playgrounds, and unloaded and set up tons of tiny chairs and supplies across the district. They worked tirelessly to get the program up and running to ensure our littlest learners would have all that they needed to have the best preschool experience.

Two elementary schools receive Mockingbird Foundation grants for music education
The grants, provided by fans of the band "Phish," will provide more instruments and opportunity for students at Red Hawk Ridge and Walnut Hills elementary schools.

Cherry Creek Schools Welcomes Back Students, Announces New Initiatives
For the 2023-24 school year, the district is announcing several new initiatives, such as Healthy School Meals for All, Universal Preschool, a third school-based community health center, and the opening of Traverse Academy, a first-of-its-kind mental health facility operated by a school district.

CBS4: Cherry Creek Schools rolls out universal preschool at 43 sites
The Cherry Creek School District added or converted 54 new Pre-K classrooms, built 17 new playgrounds, and bought lots more tiny chairs and supplies. Cherry Creek invested $6 million to ensure families across the district could access preschool at their neighborhood school.
