Faces We Wear: Traverse Academy students create mask project
Students at Traverse Academy recently completed a mask-making project as part of the mental health and educational supports the first-of-its-kind school offers.

Colorado Community Media: Foundation donates 200 bags of student supplies to Traverse Academy
Hoping to bring more awareness to a recently opened mental health facility for students, the Tuchman Family Foundation donated 200 bags of student supplies to Traverse Academy, located within the Cherry Creek School District.

Traverse Academy students receive ‘Supplies for Success’
Thanks to a generous donation from the Tuchman Family Foundation, students at the newly-opened Traverse Academy received Welcome bags for students entering the program and Launch bags for students transitioning back to their home school. The items were selected by a committee of Traverse Academy staff members.

Traverse Academy officially opens, welcomes students
After years of planning, design, and construction, Traverse Academy, the nation’s first mental health treatment facility operated by a school district, is welcoming students in the Cherry Creek School District. Thanks to the support of local taxpayers who approved funding for the building as part of the 2020 bond measure, the facility has become a reality for students ages 10-18 who are experiencing a mental health crisis.

Investing in Cherry Creek Schools
On August 12th, the CCSD Board of Education voted unanimously to put a Mill and Bond measure on the November 5, 2024 ballot for CCSD residents. The proposal includes investments in safety and security, teachers, innovation and career training, student health, technology, and major construction and maintenance projects throughout the district.
