CCIC's Amit Singh Recognized with Proud Partner Award
Congratulations to CCIC Social Worker, Amit SIngh, for receiving the Proud Partner award from Rocky Mountain Workforce Development Association (RMWDA) at its annual Think Big Awards Ceremony. Amit was recognized for his work with Arapahoe/Douglas Works! (A/D Works!) to provide students in need with financial and emotional support to achieve their educational goals and find related employment after graduation.

CCIC Students Apprentice with Mikron Corporation
Five students from the CCIC Advanced Manufacturing pathway were chosen to apprentice with Mikron over the summer. Mikron is a global partner to companies in the pharmaceutical, medtech, consumer goods, automotive, and general engineering industries. The students will continue to apprentice during and after their senior year, as well as attend the Advanced Manufacturing Sciences Institute at MSU Denver. Congratulations!

Senator Hickenlooper Visits Cherry Creek Innovation Campus
Senator John Hickenlooper recently visited CCIC to tour the building and speak with students and employers about the Apprenticeship Program. Students from CCIC's Infrastructure Engineering & Automotive pathways shared their work-based learning experiences. The CTE Work-based Learning team supports internships and apprenticeships for high school students district-wide.

First Uniquely Abled Academy Students Complete CCIC Program
Congratulations to the Uniquely Abled Academy (UAA) students for completing their Advanced Manufacturing program at CCIC. These young adults with level 1 autism and similar diagnoses have trained in an Advanced Manufacturing course over the summer. The classes provide professional skills to equip students to pursue a meaningful job and career in advanced manufacturing, aerospace, or engineering. Another session of the Uniquely Abled Academy will be offered at CCIC this fall. Classes will be held from 3:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, beginning in October. CCIC at National SkillsUSA
Four CCIC students competed at the National Leadership & Skills Conference in Atlanta this summer after qualifying at the state level: Anna George in Masonry & Brickwork, Matt George in Carpentry, Will Schimberg in Automotive Services Technology and Aiva Dewett in Prepared Speech. Will Schimberg earned the Gold in Automotive Services Technology and Aiva Dewett earned Silver in the Prepared Speech Category. Congratulations!
