Who We Are, What We Do
- We represent our community: teachers, parents, community members, and our principal.
- We work to ensure that every child at Willow Creek receives the best education possible, and we create goals for improvement every year.
- We hold our school accountable to our citizens and taxpayers.
Every public school in Colorado has an accountability committee. By state law, our committee is responsible for making recommendations to the principal concerning preparation of the school's annual performance plan, including our goals for improvement. We review assessment data and classroom practices to identify strengths and weaknesses. We meet at least quarterly to discuss implementation of the school's plan and other progress relevant to our accreditation status.
We have representatives from our staff, our parents, and our community. The goal is to work together to ensure that education at Willow Creek is as effective as possible and that our resources are used efficiently. As part of our state-mandated duties, we give advice on the school's budget, staffing plans, and use of other resources. Accountability Committee Meetings for 2020–2021
