Dear Pine Ridge Community,

My name is Yvonne Jackson and I am thrilled to be entering the 2021-2022 school year as the principal of this amazing school community.  I have spent the past two years as the assistant principal at Pine Ridge Elementary School and I am honored to serve as the incoming principal.  There are many unique assets, aptitudes, and abilities that we, as individuals and as a community, bring to Pine Ridge, and I am excited to learn and grow with all of you while remembering the importance of educating every child, every day

I grew up in a bilingual and biracial military family where education was of the utmost importance. I continue to instill this value into my 10 year old son, who attends school in the district.  I value and appreciate the diversity in the district, believe in the work that is being done and am grateful for the opportunities that I, and my son, have experienced.   Cherry Creek has been my “home” for over 16 years and I am grateful to continue to serve in this district. 

A few reminders as we enter into the 21-22 School Year:

• Wednesday, August 11^th Class assignments emailed to families
• Thursday, August 12^th:  Meet and Greet from 4pm-6pm
• 4:00-5:00:  3^rd, 4^th and 5^th Grades
• 5:00-6:00:  1^st and 2^nd Grades
• Kinder Meet and Greet will be during your child’s testing time
• Monday, August 16: First day of school for 3^rd, 4^th, and 5^th graders ONLY
• Tuesday, August 17^th: First day of school for 1^st and 2^nd graders ONLY
• Wednesday, August 18^th: School for ALL GRADES
• Early Release Wednesday: School will dismiss at 1:45pm
