    ACADEMIC SUPPORT LAB

This course is designed to provide students with opportunities to complete or make-up missing work without academic penalty. Students with missing or incomplete work or school absences are referred to this lab class on a weekly basis, but all students are welcome to access the teachers and resources available. Students with a history of failing grades have regularly earned more quarterly credits when participating in this intervention.

    ADVISORY

All students in grades 9/10 and selected students in grades 11/12 take this class which is an instrumental part of our program, providing opportunities for students to work in a small, collaborative setting.  The advisor is the link between school, the student, and the parent;  advisory serves as the daily opportunity for students to connect, monitor homework, problem-solve any issues that the student wishes to discuss, and provides a time to discuss issues relative to character education and positive social/emotional learning.  Advisors closely monitor the success of their mentor students’ development, social-emotional learning, and post-graduate planning.
