Student Exemption from State Assessment
Parents may excuse their student(s) from taking one or more state assessments by completing the Parent Exemption for State Assessments form online in the parent portal of my.cherrycreek.org. Please complete this form as early as possible so that the school can take into account the exemptions as part of their assessment administration schedule.

ACCESS
Grade: Kindergarten-12 (English Language Learners)
Testing Window: January 10-February 11, 2022
Purpose: Assesses English language proficiency in listening, reading, speaking and writingACT WorkKeys

Testing Window: October 13, 2021 (Grade 12 only), January 7-January 14, 2022 (Grade 12 only), April 11-15, 2022, May 3-May 17, 2022
Purpose: As needed for Graduation Guideline Requirements or for students who score at the Bronze Level (3), to earn the ACT's National Career Readiness Certificate.Alternate CMAS CoAlt

Testing Window: April 11-29, 2022
Purpose: Provide a performance level at which students with significant cognitive disabilities meet the Colorado Academic Standards in Science and Social Studies.Alternate DLM/Kite

Purpose: Alternate for CMAS, PSAT/SAT and will provide a common measure of academic achievement for students with significant cognitive disabilities.CMAS

Grade: Kindergarten-9
Testing Window: Beginning of Year: K (August 30-October 29, 2021), 1-9 (August 30-October 1, 2021) Mid-Year: November 29, 2021-February 4, 2022 End of Year: April 4-May 27, 2022
Purpose: To effectively track progress towards CCSD's priority of instructional excellence. The beginning of year assessment also fulfills the Colorado READ Act requirements for Kindergarten through 3rd Grade.Iowa

Testing Window: October 11-November 30, 2021
Purpose: Part of a Body of Evidence (BOE) to determine if students qualify for Gifted & Talented Services. For students who score 90% or higher on the CogAT. These assessments measure achievement in several important content areas including Reading, English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies.i-Ready

Testing Window: Kindergarten: After FASTBridge Screener-November 30, 2021 and Grades 1-3: After FASTBridge Screener-November 15, 2021
Purpose: Reading Only. For Kindergarten-3rd grade students who score below the SRD (significant reading deficiency) cut score on the FASTBridge Screener.IRLA
