• MLK Day

Make it a Day On.  Not a Day Off.

    A Day ON...for your community - January 18

The Fox Ridge National Junior Honor Society inviteds our student body, families, and staff to join together in a Day of Service on Monday, January 18.  The Martin Luther King, Jr. federal holiday has long been known as a day of service, and we hope our community might consider it a day ON for service too.

NJHS has developed a helpful website to inspire you with ways to serve.  Click here to access the website.

Fox Ridge is suggesting two projects that we can do as a community on Monday, January 18 for our Day On for Service.

    • Kindness Rocks - Would your family like to paint rocks with words of support and kindness on January 18?  You can create these colorful tokens and spread them in your neighborhood or in common spaces like parks and trails to lift the spirits and show community spirit.  A list of materials and other helpful tips are on the MLK Service Website (link above).
    • Letters to Frontline Workers - Would your family like to write letters of support and appreciation on January 18?  Our MLK Service Website has suggestions and addresses.

Will you share with us your service?  If you are so inclined, we would like to celebrate how our Fox Ridge community served on January 18.  Please consider logging your service on our MLK Service Website so we can celebrate the positive impact we had on our community.
