COVID-19 vaccine information
On May 10, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) authorized the emergency use of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for children ages 12 to 15. The vaccine was found to be safe and effective in clinical trials of adolescents.
The Cherry Creek School District is working with our community healthcare partners on a series of Pfizer vaccine clinics for families who choose to have their child vaccinated. The clinics will serve students ages 12 and older, as well as adults who have not yet been vaccinated. This page also lists other healthcare partners that offer vaccine appointments for anyone 12 years old and up.
The clinics are part of our strategy to be able to safely and fully open our schools in the fall, with fewer restrictions and a return to a more normal educational experience for our students, staff and families.
If you have general questions about the vaccine, please contact your healthcare provider. Cherry Creek Schools Health Services will continue to monitor FDA guidance and emergency use authorization for children younger than 12 years old through the summer and into the next school year. PLEASE NOTE: A parent or guardian must be with their student (if under 18) at any appointment.
