My name is Kate Howard, and I am so proud to be part of the amazing second grade team again this year. This is my 17th year of teaching, and my 9th year at Cottonwood Creek. I have always taught first and second graders. I feel so lucky to be part of such a strong, supportive community like the one we have here at Cottonwood. I am also a proud parent of three Cottonwood students. When I’m not in “teacher mode”, I am a busy mom, and there is certainly never a dull (or quiet) moment in the Howard household! Hello! My name is Kathy Jansen and I’m a second-grade teacher. This is my sixteenth year teaching and my eighth year at Cottonwood. Previously, I taught in a small district in Los Angeles, CA for nine years. I’m originally from Cleveland, Ohio, where the majority of my family still resides. My husband and I live in Centennial with our toddler and pup. When I’m not teaching, you can find me spending time with my family, reading, doing puzzles, cooking, and learning new things. I’m so grateful to be a part of such a strong, supportive community like Cottonwood!

Hello there!!  My name is Stephanie Kelly. This is my 3rd year at Cottonwood and my 24th year in the teaching profession.  I spent 4 years in Kansas teaching 4th grade before moving back home to Colorado.  I was at Homestead Elementary for 15 years teaching grades 2, 3, 4, & 5.  I was then a district literacy coach for a year and an online 3rd grade teacher for a year before finding my home at Cottonwood.  When I’m not teaching, you can find me cooking, going for walks, watching movies, and just chilling with my friends & family.  My husband, Mike, & I are Colorado natives & have two very active boys!  Cooper (14) and Logan (10) keep us on our toes with lots of sporting events & school activities, but we wouldn’t want it any other way. I can’t wait to meet you & welcome you into my classroom family!

Hello! My name is Natalie Morris. I have been teaching at Cottonwood Creek since 2001 - it is truly my second home! I taught 3rd grade for four years before taking three years off to be home with my children. When I came back there was an opening in 2nd grade, and that is where I have been ever since! I have three children who are now all in college. Riley is 20 and a junior at the University of Wisconsin - Madison.  Hadley and Jack are my 18-year-old twins and are freshmen at the University of Oregon and Montana State University. When I’m not at school, I love to read, take walks, and hang out with family and friends. I am so lucky to be a part of this wonderful Cottonwood Creek community!
