Mrs. Heidi Burris
Hello! My name is Heidi Burris. This is my 21st year teaching in the district and my fourth-year teaching 4th grade at Cottonwood Creek. I am originally from Minnesota, which is also where I received my Master's in Elementary Education. I have lived near downtown Denver for the past 20 years, but recently moved to Parker. I have two stepchildren who are in their early twenties and starting their careers. We also have a miniature schnauzer, called Lucy. In my spare time I enjoy snowboarding, hiking, scrapbooking, reading, and traveling.

Mr. Darren Gaines
My name is Darren Gaines, and I am currently teaching fourth grade. It has been a privilege and an honor to be a teacher for the past 34 years teaching first, third, fourth, and fifth grades during my career. Helping students build on their previous learning and helping them establish strong and meaningful relationships with others is very important to me. I believe it starts with children believing in themselves and that they have the power inside of them to accomplish great and mighty things.

Mrs. Lisa Gelwick
My name is Lisa Gelwick and I am thrilled to be teaching 4th Grade again at Cottonwood Creek! This will be my 6th year teaching in the Cherry Creek School District, but my 19th year as an elementary school teacher. In addition to fourth grade, I have taught first and third grades and served as a teacher leader and instructional coach. I have a Bachelor of Arts in History and am currently working toward a Masters in Teaching. I grew up in southeastern Michigan but have lived in Colorado for almost 30 years. When I am not teaching, I adore spending time with my family as well as gardening, cooking, listening to music, and reading.

Mrs. Pinki Singh
Hello! My name is Pinki Singh, and I am currently teaching fourth grade. This will be my 22st year teaching here at Cottonwood Creek Elementary. It has been a privilege and an honor to be a teacher for past 29 yrs. I strive to create a classroom environment where my students feel comfortable to grow, participate, and succeed. I have a Masters in Education from University of Colorado Denver. I call myself native of Colorado. In my free time I love gardening, shopping, travelling, listening to music, and reading. I am so grateful and honored to be part of the Cougar family.
