    The students of Summit are Brilliant and Joyful! My favorite thing about working with students at Summit is the opportunity to help them grow in their Humanity.
     
    Some interesting facts about me:
    Ms.Oki was born in Turkey, and has taught in Japan and Nepal. Her favorite thing to do is collect passport stamps!

    I'm originally from Maryland. I love to read, hike, and I still teach dance!

    I enjoy going on hikes in the mountains and swimming. I have 2 children, we enjoy playing games and going on walks.

    This is my very first year working as a Speech Language Pathologist and my first year at Summit as well.

    The laughs and fun we share together, how they can find the joy in everything, their creativity, and the energy they bring.

     I am a CCSD alumni, my favorite sports team is the Denver Nuggets, I love concerts and my dog, Sadie.

    I have been teaching for 8 years, in CCSD as a Gifted Learning Teacher for 5, and this is my third year at Summit!
     
    What are two things you are excited for this school year?
    This year I am excited to get to know the Summit Community and SOAR like an Eagle!
     
    Some interesting facts about me:
    My husband and I went to rival colleges (Alabama and Auburn) so our wedding cake was half of each football stadium - Roll Tide!!! We do not have any kids, but we do have two amazing golden retrievers, Luna and Leo!

    My favorite things about working with students is seeing their smiles, watching them succeed, when they show curiosity, ask questions, and come up with their own solutions.
     
    A few interesting things about me:
    I have a middle schooler that keeps me on my toes. I love to read, travel, and spend time with my family. I love animals and have a cat, a dog, and two birds.

    My favorite things about working with students are hearing their thinking, sharing stories, and celebrating when they accomplish something difficult.

    I usually sneeze at least 5 times in a row and I have lived on three different continents.

    My family and I spend a lot of time outdoors.  My daughter is 8 and my son is 4. We also have a dog named Blue who is 7. We love to spend time in the mountains and by the water.

    I love the funny things kids say and hugs.

    This is my 4th year at Summit.
     
    My favorite things about working with students are:
    My favorite thing about working with students is all the relationships I get to build. It makes sharing in their learning all that more rewarding. The ah-ha moments students have when they discover something they didn't know before is very gratifying. I hope to make an impact with the students I work with, but more importantly, I hope they know the impact they have on me.
     
    A few interesting things about me:
    My first career was in computer programming. I have one daughter that attends Smoky Hill High School. My favorite place in the world is reading a book on the beach.

    How many years have you been teaching or working in education? In Summit? 
    This will be my 6th year at Summit and in the grand adventure of education overall! Here’s to another year of learning, laughing, and making a difference!
    My favorite things about working with students are: 
    My favorite things about working with students? Oh, where do I start? Building social-emotional skills and watching students blossom into their unique selves is magic! There’s something so special about helping students develop their personal and learning identities, guiding them as they discover their strengths, and seeing them navigate their own learning spaces with confidence; it truly warms my heart. 
    A few interesting things about me:
    I’m a third-year Master of Social Work Candidate at Metropolitan State University, on a mission to become a school social worker at Cherry Creek School District—the same district I’ve proudly called home since middle school! I’m also a fur mama to three amazing fur babies, who are pretty spoiled because I’m constantly baking them treats. When I’m not in the kitchen or hitting the books, you’ll find me diving into my creative space, where I love to draw, paint, color, and make all kinds of art!

    I taught for 30 years and am in my second year of subbing and my first year at Summit.

    I am the youngest of 11 children. I have three grown children. I enjoy swimming and biking.
