• Why partner with STRIDE Community Health?

Stride Community Health is an important partner to Cherry Creek Schools and has provided immunizations, child wellness visits and flu shot clinics at sites across the district since 2018. STRIDE has also played a key role in the district’s timely response to the COVID-19 pandemic – the nonprofit has worked with CCSD to provide COVID testing and vaccines throughout our communities.

Through this expanded partnership, STRIDE will provide medical staff, supplies, health education and counseling for students and families through their SBCHCs located in CCSD.

    Who is STRIDE Community Health?

STRIDE Community Health Center has a 32-year history of providing affordable, high-quality, compassionate medical, dental, and behavioral health care for low-income, uninsured, and underserved individuals and families at more than a dozen locations in the greater Denver area. STRIDE welcomes people of all ages, races, genders, and cultures regardless of citizenship or insurance status.

STRIDE opened two new School-Based Community Health Centers (SBCHCs), in partnership with Cherry Creek Schools, at Horizon Community Middle School and Overland High School in February 2022. Patients of all ages are welcome at these locations, and you do not have to be a student to access services. STRIDE accepts patients with public health insurance (Medicaid, Medicare, CHP+), some private insurance plans, and individuals with no insurance.

Patients will be seen by appointment, which can be scheduled by calling STRIDE’s Customer Care Center at 303-7STRIDE (778-7433). Team members are available Monday – Friday from 7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. to assist you in scheduling an appointment with our SBCHC providers. New patients should also request a Financial Screening Appointment, so we can help you determine if you are eligible for Medicaid, STRIDE’s sliding-fee discount program, and other grant-funded programs for services.

What are the benefits of School-Based Community Health Centers?

In addition to supporting student success and allowing ease of access for health care, SBCHCs have many benefits. Learn more here.
