• Cherokee Band Parent Organization (CBPO)

    Mission Statement: To ignite the musical genius, nurture the creativity, and positively impact the students in the CT Band through financial and volunteer support.

     

    Fundraising Goals- To purchase new instruments, repair instruments, provide guest instructors to work with the students, help offset the cost of external performance opportunities for the students and community, and provide food and materials to support the band.

     

     

    VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

    Pep Band: The pep band performs at football and basketball games, school activities, and community events.

    Volunteers are needed to:
     - Load and transport band equipment to Legacy Stadium and back to the school
     - Get equipment ready for student performance at the stadium and distribute refreshments to students during the game

    Craft Fair: (twice a year) CT band is responsible for running the concession stand. 

    Volunteers are needed to:
     - Set up and clean up the concession stand
     - Provide food and drink donations to sell at the concession stand
     - Take food orders from vendors and prepare/deliver food

    Big Band Boogie Ball (BBBB): Our biggest fundraiser of the year! All students perform at this family-friendly event!  This event consists of a silent auction, dancing, and dessert. 

    Volunteers are needed for:
     - Set up and clean up of the CT gym
     - Soliciting and collecting donations for the silent auction
     - Working different jobs during the event

    Restaurant Nights: One night per month when a business donates a percentage of its profits to the CT Band

    Volunteers are needed to:
     - Invite family and friends to dine at the restaurant of the month

    Sponsorships and Donations: Companies and individuals that are willing to sponsor the CT Band (donations are tax-deductible)
     - Provide monetary donations for the CT Band
     - Provide donations for the silent auction
