Reuniting with your Student
-
If kids are evacuated from their school and taken to an off-site location to be reunited with you, there is a plan.
CCSD uses the Standard Reunification Method (SRM) for reuniting kids with their parents or guardians to ensure every student is accounted for.
Here are some key points to know:
Stay Home: If an incident occurs at school, please do not come to the school. This will only delay reunification with your child.
Stay Informed: Ensure your Powerschool parent/guardian contact information is current and accurate. CCSD will inform you where and when to go to pick-up your child. If safe to do so, your child may also inform you where to meet them.
Be Ready: Have your phone charged and driver’s ID ready to present to CCSD staff at the reunification site. As soon as you receive the notification, it will be time to respond.
Please be patient during the reunification process, as these are often busy and hectic times for everyone involved. Please know that getting your child safely back home is our top priority.
