The Cherry Creek Innovation Campus (CCIC) is a stand-alone college and career-preparedness facility located near Centennial Airport and the Denver Tech Center. At CCIC, students are provided opportunities to gain real-world skills, valuable college credit, and/or recognized certifications ranging from the computer sciences to aviation to health sciences. Under the Career and Technical Education umbrella, the CCIC expands the district's commitment to preparing students for the academic and professional demands of the 21st century. The student learning experience will mimic state-of-the-art work environments, with a focus on putting learners in an industry-based culture and climate. Whether a student's immediate post-high school plans include college, the military, or entering the workforce, the CCIC offers a new kind of bridge to college and successful careers. Participating students continue to earn diplomas from their home high schools.
- No transportation will be available to classes held at CCIC.
- Students can take CCIC summer classes for credit recovery or credit progression.
- Current 8th-graders (incoming 9th-graders) may register for courses if any required prerequisites have been met in middle school and with prior written approval from their middle school counselors. However, they may not earn high school credit.

Please Note: If your student is on hold status with the Cherry Creek School District for any reason (Change-of-Address Needed, Renewal of Co-Residency or Temporary Guardianship, etc.), then the hold status needs to be cleared with District Admissions prior to the start of summer school classes. Tuition and Pricing:
- Class size is limited and registration is based on a first-come, first-serve basis.
- Payment must be made at the time of registration.
- Payment can be made by either debit card or credit card.

Beginning Woodworking
BEGINNING WOODWORKING (9CTESTWODS): In this course, students will learn the fundamental processes of woodworking, including the safe use of power tools (table saw, jointer, surface planer, drum sander, and wood lathe), squaring a board, basic wood joints, laminating wood, sharpening tools, and hand rubbing oil finish. Projects include a laminated clipboard, a small miter box, and a wood turning task. This course is for students who have little or no woodworking experience and want to explore the art of fine woodworking using domestic and exotic hardwood.

Computer Aided Design I
Computer-Aided Design I (9CTESTCADS): This course is an entry level design class developed to teach students how to use various approaches to read a technical drawing of a 3D part to create that part using Solidworks, a Computer Aided Design (CAD) software. This course is designed for students interested in exploring careers related to engineering and product design. Students will demonstrate their new skills through Solidworks design projects. The course will culminate with students taking the Certified Solidworks Associate exam, an industry level certification used to demonstrate a student’s level of expertise using Solidworks. This exam focuses on basic computer aided drafting skills. These skills can include but are not limited to file management, cartesian coordinate system & dynamic input, drawing templates, drawing aides, layer usage, creating & editing geometric objects, polylines & splines, equation tables, basic dimensioning and help access
CAD is a suggested prerequisite for Product Design I.
Grades: 9-12; .50 credit awarded for students entering 10-12
Dual Enrollment: Metro State University of Denver (IND 1450 – 3credits), $50 per MSU credit. This $150 fee is paid separately from registration during the first week of classes.

Hospitality & Culinary Career Exploration
HOSPITALITY & CULINARY CAREER EXPLORATION (9CTEFCSHCS): This course will give students an insight into the various career paths available throughout the hospitality industry. Students will begin the course by learning about the Resort & Event Management pathway through virtual field trips, guest speakers, soft skills, and guest service scenarios. They will continue the course by exploring the culinary arts with learning basic skills, preparing a variety of recipes, and learning about the culinary industry as a career path.

Introduction to Computer Programming A
INTRODUCTION TO COMPUTER PROGRAMMING A (9COMPROAS): This course will provide students the foundations of computer programming using the Python programming language. Students will use programming constructs and an object-oriented approach to solve various problems. Topics may include, but are not limited to, variables, operators, conditionals, iteration, functions, arrays, and classes/objects. This course will satisfy the programming prerequisite for the other courses in the IT/STEAM pathway.

Photography
PHOTOGRAPHY 1: This photography course focuses on studio-based photography. Students will learn basic DSLR camera operations, framing,and the art of styling and lighting for professional photo shoots. Projects will include various print advertisements and studio work. Students will learn about careers related to commercial photography and the postsecondary programs and requirements in Colorado. Some examples of jobs in this area are photographer, graphic designer, and stylist. Students will complete a number of projects and design pieces to be added to personal portfolios. The course offers instruction and experience in the technical and aesthetic concerns of photography. Students will learn to operate a DSLR camera and a variety of other equipment to create photographic images. Art production will cover a variety of approaches with specific emphasis placed on the use of digital photography. The class will also address the history of photography through group and individual student research. Course materials include a DSLR (there are a limited number to rent from school) and some consumables.
