What safety measures are in place if there’s a security issue at my child(ren)’s school?

Cherry Creek Schools uses the Standard Response Protocol (SRP), which includes five categories of an incident:

• Hold

• Secure

• Lockdown

• Evacuate

• Shelter

How will I know if there has been a safety issue at my child(ren)’s school?

In the event of a student safety issue or police activity near a school, we work to share current, accurate information as quickly as possible. It’s important for parents and families to have current contact information in their Parent Portal account so we can communicate about any safety issues. These notifications will come via text, phone call, and e-mail.
