    What are media waivers?

Cherry Creek Schools uses its website, newsletters and social media to share the story of how our students and schools are growing and thriving. There are two categories of media waivers:

    • DISTRICT: An internal media waiver means that Cherry Creek Schools has permission to photograph, quote, film or use student work in its publications and channels, including (but not limited to): the district or school's websites, social media channels, print publications such as mailers or brochures, or videos. These are made with the goal to positively showcase the hard work and dedication of our students, staff, and schools.
    • OUTSIDE: An external media waiver means that Cherry Creek Schools has permission to coordinate interviews with external news outlets for the purposes of sharing positive news stories via credible news sources.

You must select your preference for both types of media waivers in Parent Forms. You can find guides to how to fill out these forms here.

If a student is marked “NO” for a media waiver, they will be identified in some way so the photographer or videographer can avoid filming them.
