Information for College and Military Representatives
-
Cherokee Trail uses RepVisits to schedule college visits. Please visit us at https://CounselorCommunity.com. We look forward to welcoming you to our school!
Higher education admissions counselors and military recruiters are provided equal opportunity to access Cherokee Trail High School students. All visitors are expected to abide by the following guidelines:
- College Admissions representatives (4-year, 2-year, or CTE schools) may visit Cherokee Trail High School once per semester. All visits must be prescheduled through the Naviance RepVisits program. If a visit needs rescheduled, communication should be sent as soon as possible. Day of cancelations must call the Postgraduate Center at 720-886-1981. Habitual 'no-shows' may result in no longer being approved for future college visits.
- Military recruiters will be allowed three table visits in the commons area per school year. Additionally, military recruiters may schedule informative presentations for interested students to occur in the Postgraduate Center once per semester. All visits must be pre-scheduled through the Postgraduate Specialist at 720-886-1981 or cthpostgrad@cherrycreekschools.org.
- Unscheduled visits to 'greet' or 'deliver treats' will count as one of the institution's semester visits. Due to limited space, SWAG for school staff will not be accepted.
- Admissions and military recruiting representatives must remain in the Postgraduate Center or at their designated table space when visiting CTHS.
- Representatives are only allowed to visit classrooms with approval from CTHS administration. All classroom visits must be informative of the institution's pathway (ie. 4-year college pathway, military pathway). Marketing of the institution and/or passing out marketing materials from the institution (ie. t-shirts, cups, stickers, sunglasses, etc.) is strictly prohibited. To begin the process of requesting a classroom visit, admissions representatives or military recruiters should contact the Postgraduate Specialist at 720-886-1981 or cthpostgrad@cherrycreekschools.org. Representatives who fail to first contact the Postgraduate Specialist to arrange classroom visits may forfeit their ability to attend CTHS for future visits.
- Representatives may schedule individual appointments with specific students. These appointments may meet in the Postgraduate Center with prior notification to the Postgraduate Specialist.
- All official and unofficial transcript requests for current students must be initiated by the student.
For questions regarding this policy at Cherokee Trail High School contact Brooke Gabrielli, Postgraduate Coordinator, at bgabrielli2@cherrycreekschools.org.
Sincerely,
Cherokee Trail Leadership and Counseling Department
Any questions about college or military visits that cannot be handled via RepVisits should be directed to the Postgraduate Specialist at cthpostgrad@cherrycreekschools.org or 720-886-1981
