Compensation and Classification
Cherry Creek School District (CCSD) administers, manages, and maintains a market-based pay structure to attract, motivate, and retain qualified employees in support of the District’s mission. Designed with the assistance and expertise of the Colorado-based organization Oehm Consulting Services (OCS), Inc., the compensation program is based on the market value of equivalent positions in the marketplace along with recognized industry pay practices that strive for equitable pay.
CCSD participates in a rotation of job description reviews and pay range comparisons to remain competitive in the Denver metropolitan area public school district market. These market studies are administered by OCS, who conducts similar studies for over 30 other public Colorado school districts. CCSD uses this third-party consultant to perform impartial market analyses, present objective data, and provide rational recommendations related to compensation and classification. Our market peers, or the public school districts that CCSD compares against, for market studies are as follows:
- Adams 12 Five Star Schools
- Aurora Public Schools
- Boulder Valley School District
- Denver Public Schools
- Douglas County School District
- Jefferson County Public Schools
- Littleton Public Schools
- Westminster Public Schools
Employees can find additional information about compensation, job classification, and the pay practices CCSD implements to determine pay structures and employee pay on the compensation webpage on the Backyard (intranet login required).
Current job openings and announcements can be found on the Careers webpage.
