What We Believe
In order to be college and career-ready, EVERY student will learn science content and conceptual understandings, be critical consumers of scientific information related to their everyday experiences, be inspired to question the world around them, and participate in innovative problem-solving.
Mission
The Cherry Creek School District strives to provide a quality science education for EVERY student; ensuring scientifically literate graduates who will help to vitalize Colorado’s economy by encouraging the development of research and technology, managing and preserving our environmental treasures and caring for the health and well-being of our citizens. Students learn science concepts while utilizing science and engineering practices. These practices describe the behaviors that scientists engage in as they investigate and build models and theories about the natural world. Students’ science experiences are supported by teachers who engage in ongoing, job-embedded professional learning. This ensures that teachers are up-to-date on current science research as well as teaching pedagogy as a means to support all students through a culturally responsive lens.
