Long-Range Facility Planning Committee

  • Are you interested in the future of the Cherry Creek School District? Would you like to be involved with long-range planning for schools and other facilities? Then consider volunteering for the district’s Long-Range Facility Planning Committee.

This group of community members and district employees evaluates issues including new construction, renovation of existing facilities, attendance boundaries and calendar issues. The group advises the Board of Education and recommends cost-effective plans for capital facilities.

The Long-Range Facility Planning Committee currently has open community member positions in the Director Districts Area B (2 seats) & Area E (1 seat), and At-Large (1 seat) position.

A listing of the schools in each Director District can be found in the Director District School Assignments document.

The mission of the Long-Range Facility Planning Committee (LRFPC), an advisory committee to the Board of Education, is to promote "Excellence in Education" by recommending cost-effective plans for the use of capital facilities. Toward this end, the committee evaluates issues such as new construction, renovation of existing facilities, attendance boundaries, and 4-track calendar issues from a K-12 facilities perspective, while honoring diversity among facilities and populations within the District. (Policy BDF R-5)

The LRFPC meetings for the 2022-23 SY are held in-person at the CCSD Educational Services Center (ESC) 4700 S Yosemite St. Greenwood Village, CO:
