Welcome to the Grandview High School Counseling web page. The information here is designed to help support students and parents through the high school years and prepare students for college and career success. Grandview counselors provide support to students and their families in three major areas: academic advisement, personal/social development, and post-graduate planning. We work with students, parents, staff, and the community to provide resources and support in each of these areas.

    Credit Recovery

At Grandview we have different options for students who need to make up credit from a failed class or who want to retake a class to improve their GPA. Please have your student see his or her counselor to discuss these options:

    • Re-take the class at Grandview (must take the same semester that they failed)
    • Attend Summer School
    • Re-take course through an accredited online high school
      • Must see your counselor first for approval
    • Re-take the course in Computer Academy during the student's off hour
      • This is the only option where the student will receive credit but not grade replacement
