ACE Engineering Club
Meets: Room II-605, Thursdays @ 3:35 - 3:50 pm, 2nd semester only
ACE is a partnership between Smoky Hill High School and the ACE Mentor Foundation. At ACE Meetings, students work with professional architects, construction managers, and engineers to design and present a real-world project in the same manner as the professionals do. Scholarships to college are available.

Family Career Community Leaders of America (FCCLA)

FCCLA is a career and technical student organization that promotes personal growth and leadership development through family and consumer sciences classes. Members have been making a difference in families, careers, and communities by addressing important personal, work, and societal issues. Through participation in Competitive Events, becoming involved in community service opportunities, student leadership, and attending leadership conferences, members develop real world skills, explore Career Pathways, and become college- and career-ready. Habesha Leadership Club
Meets: 200 Collab Space - Green Wednesdays @ 3:35 - 4:30 pm
Habesha is a club that celebrates Ethiopian and Eritrean cultures in order to spread awareness about our countries and Africa. Part of this awareness includes raising money for non-profit organizations and organizing book drives and other necessities to send to Ethiopia and Eritrea. Our club participates in school activities including Homecoming Week and World Awareness where we teach fellow students traditional dances and introduce them to our favorite foods. All are welcome! We hope to see you at our next meeting.

IB Council

IB Council is an academic and social organization that plans study and work sessions, fun activities like movie nights and karaoke competitions, parent and student information nights, and cultural events for IB students and families and the Smoky Hill community at large. It’s mission is to bring a positive atmosphere to IB where everybody feels welcome and appreciated.

Students work together to strengthen the Latino Community and increase awareness at Smoky Hill of Latino culture. We work together to transform our members into future leaders; actively participate in our community and be part of different service projects. All students interested in the Latino culture are welcome.

Math Club

Members participate in competitions such as the Colorado Math League Contests, TrigStar, and American Math Contest. They also provide after school math tutoring.

Model United Nations

Model UN meets as a 5th period class. They attend state wide Model United Nation competitions on weekends throughout the school year. Students have an opportunity to discuss current world issues and policies.

The SHHS Sisterhood is a club focused on African American girls on the valuable roles they pay in the school and throughout the community. The girls in this club will focus on building leadership skills, creating positive relationships and developing pathways that support academic success.

Speech & Debate

Smoky Hill Speech & Debate is a competitive team. Practices are held three times a week for two hours per practice. Smoky Hill Speech & Debate is one of the top 10% of all programs nationwide. They routinely travel out of state to tournaments and have numerous state finalists and national qualifiers.
