PTO and Accountability
Stay Informed and Involved. The EHS PTO offers families an opportunity to learn what is happening at school, share ideas and make a difference in their children's experience throughout their four years at Eaglecrest.
Our Mission is to assist in attaining the highest level of education and welfare for the entire student body of EHS through cooperative efforts of the Faculty, Staff, Parents and the Cherry Creek School District community throughout the year, supporting teachers, staff and fund raising activities.
Make a difference. There is no membership. We would love your enthusiasm, support, and ideas for our children! PTO is the Parent, Teacher, and Community Support group organized to help promote better communication between the parents, students, faculty and administration.
PTCO supports EHS through:
- Providing educational grants to the school which enables the teachers to receive various educational materials and equipment for their classrooms
- In-service dinners to the Faculty during the fall and spring Parent/Teacher conferences
- Hosting the "After Prom" event which is a safe and alcohol free event for our students
- Providing volunteer assistance for the medical staff with vision/hearing testing
Hosting monthly PTO restaurant fund raisers, we receive a portion from the venders/businesses around Eaglecrest

- New board election:
Hello Raptor Parents,
As we come to the final months of the school year, it is time for the new term election of our PTO board members. Nominations were held during the March 8th community meeting. Thanks to all attendees and their nominations. According to our bylaws, we are required to notify our community of these nominations as well as the April 12th voting.
The following EHS parents were nominated and here is what each of them would like to share:
Nominated for President: "Hi, my name is Melissa Rouse and I am currently serving as interim president. My son, Evan, is a Sophomore. I also have a son, Alex, who graduated from EHS last June. I'm a stay-at-home mom of 4 boys. The younger 2 are currently in 4th grade and 1st grade at Mountain Vista Elementary School. I served as president for Sky Vista Middle School PTCO from 2017-2019. I am excited to be elected as a member of the board because I feel it’s important to be a part of our children's school experience, to help volunteer and make a difference wherever we can."
Nominated for Vice President: "My name is Stephanie Sosa-Valdez. I have two kids attending EHS. A senior, Corriena, and a freshman, CJ Valdez. I am a recruiter for Verizon Wireless and have been working there for 13 years. I am interested in being the VP for EHS because, as my children are growing older, I feel that it is important to be part of an organization that will help kids have a great school experience."
Nominated for Treasurer: "Hi, my name is Dede Tierney. I have two sons. Connor is a junior at Eaglecrest and, next year, Logan will be a freshman. I am also involved with the EHS band booster club. I'm currently the PTCO Treasurer for Sky Vista Middle School. I would like to continue to help EHS PTO with any and all treasury matters. Thank you for your consideration, Dede."
Nominated for Secretary: "Hi! I'm Colleen Bolton and I have a daughter in 10th grade at EHS. I work full time from home as an Account Manager for a software company. I have previously been on the PTO at Aspen Crossing and Sky Vista. I want to be elected to the board as Secretary because I've learned that being involved in your child's school allows you to be better informed about the day-to-day happenings as well as meet some other great parents!"
Thank you all for taking the time to read about our nominees. If you missed the last community meeting, please see the posted meeting minutes on the EHS website. We hope to see you at the next PTO meeting to vote on April 12th at 6pm in the EHS Library.
