Security Information
-
After School Hours
CTHS ends the academic school day at 3:30 pm. Students involved in supervised clubs, sports, and academics may remain on school property until completion of the activity. All other students must be off school property by 3:45 pm. Loitering on school property is prohibited and will be referred to the appropriate dean or to the Aurora Police Department.
-
Building Access
Access to the Cherokee Trail High School's main building, mobile classrooms, and fields is restricted to Cherry Creek District employees wearing their ID, students wearing ID, and approved visitors. All visitors are required to check-in (with valid driver's license or ID) at the upper-security office prior to continuing to any other part of the property. The main entrance is located on the west side of the building.
-
Hours
CTHS Security Staff is on-site Monday thru Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. throughout the school year (excluding most Cherry Creek School holidays and closures).
-
Lockers
Student lockers are optional for all students. CTHS Security issues academic hall lockers to any interested students at check-in. Students wanting a locker need to complete this locker check-out form and stop at the security table during check-in. Students wishing to get a locker after check-in will need to go to the security office to see if there are any available.
-
Lost and Found
Lost and Found is located in the upper-security office. Articles of clothing that are not the property of CTHS will be held for 30 days and then donated. Other more valuable/personal items will be held until the end of the school year.
-
Parking
Students
Students with a CTHS parking permit must park in the lower lot next to Legacy Stadium.
Safety
A safe speed of 10 mph is the maximum speed for all access roads on the CTHS campus, 5 mph or less will be used when driving through the parking lanes. Vehicle access is restricted to the roadways and parking spaces: driving or parking in other areas (i.e. grass, rocks, or sidewalks…) is prohibited.
Parking Permit
All staff and students parking on the CTHS campus must have a valid parking permit displayed in the front window of their vehicle.
