Principal's Message

  • Thank you for joining us in our Homecoming celebrations last week. What a great week! It was great to see so much of our community at all of our events. You supported our Wolves – past, present, and future. Our students showed what it means to be a Wolf at every event, and the school spirit was palpable. We had the opportunity to introduce our 2024 Hall of Fame class to our students, and we will induct all four Wolves later this year to celebrate their accomplishments at Grandview and beyond. You can read more about them in this edition of the Gazette.

We are nearing the midway point in the semester, and it is clear our students are learning every day. On October 9th, students will have the opportunity to practice taking standardized tests during College and Career Readiness Day. Please check our website and your email for more information about what each class will be doing that day. October 9th will also be our fall, in-person conferences. Those will be arena-style, held in our gyms and commons from 4:00 – 7:30 that day. These are five-minute conferences and are a great way to meet with your student’s teachers and hear about progress and learning in class.

Our students are active and involved. Some of our fall sports are currently wrapping up their seasons, while others are entering playoffs. Our clubs are meeting regularly and planning events. Our performing arts students are practicing every day in preparation for the upcoming musical in November: The Addams Family.  And our Pep Band just wrapped up a busy and successful season performing in parades throughout the state. There is always something to see or do at Grandview.

With Fall Break only a few weeks away, hopefully students will get some much-needed downtime. They have been working hard. We appreciate all you do to partner with us in your student’s education.

At Grandview, we are One Pack! Go Wolves!
