    I am Mónica García, proud Principal of WMS.

Mrs. Mónica García

I am a native Coloradoan. I spent most of my childhood playing sports and the clarinet. I attended college in state and met my husband coaching high school basketball. We have been married for more than 30 years and have three wonderful sons, who have each found and followed their own unique calling. While they were growing up, my favorite thing to do was watch them play football, basketball, and baseball. We spent nearly every weekend on the field, the court, or the diamond, and I loved it! Besides sports and school, my other love is animals, especially dogs. Before coming to West Middle School, I was an Assistant Principal at Horizon Middle School and Brush Middle school for seven years. Before becoming an administrator, I taught high school and middle school Spanish, Language Arts, and ELL for twelve years. I absolutely love the energy in middle school and the fantastic students and families here at West!
