About Us

  • Summary

At Cherry Creek Elevation, we are committed to ensuring each student has a personalized curriculum to meet their needs.  Elevation is an enriched virtual model with a wide range of rigorous courses that meet or exceed the standards and course requirements of Cherry Creek School District and the State of Colorado. Students who are interested in classes, activities, and athletics not offered by Elevation could potentially participate at their neighborhood school.  Classes are delivered in an online platform and there are weekly face-to-face, synchronous and asynchronous sessions (both live and recorded) to support student learning and provide hands-on, real-world learning opportunities.  Our high school courses are also NCAA approved.

    Students Served

Students in grades 6-12, who reside in Cherry Creek School District, may enroll.  Our students are typically independent learners who are motivated to earn a diploma, are good at time management, and are able to advocate for themselves.

    Technology Requirements

Students must have access to reliable, high-speed internet at home and a working computer (PC or Mac). Tablets and cell phones are not sufficient to meet the technological needs of the student.  Computers are available for checkout, if needed.

    Application Process

Enrollment information and applications will be found on our website.   Enrollment begins with an application.

    Support Services

Cherry Creek Elevation has a Personalized Learning Team consisting of full-time Counselors, Mental Health providers, IEP/504 Specialists, interventionists, and advisors who serve as a learning coach for our students.  There are scheduled weekly opportunities as well as 1:1 support for students to ensure success.

    Programming Options

Full-Time:  Students who enroll for full-time programming at Elevation will maintain a full-time course load (5 or more classes) with us.  Students enrolling at Elevation in grades 6-12 will not be tied to their home schools.  This programming option focuses on promoting growth for students who have demonstrated previous academic success (in online or traditional settings) and provides targeted and personalized support for all students, including those who may have struggled in the past.  Students who meet the CCSD graduation requirements will receive a Cherry Creek Elevation diploma.

Part-Time: Our hybrid model allows students to take classes through our school while maintaining a full-time schedule at their neighborhood CCSD school.  Enrollment is limited and interested students need to contact their home school counselor for more information.

Summer School: We offer a full range of tuition-based, summer school programming that meets district requirements for grade replacement, credit recovery, and original credit.

Weekly Commitment & Learning Expectations for Full-Time Students

Each week, students should plan to spend about 5 hours per week to complete the assigned coursework for each of their courses.  Typically, students are enrolled in 6 classes, plus Advisory (on average, students spend 1 hour a week on Advisory).  Students participate in scheduled virtual classes that meet once a week at a scheduled time.  Students are also strongly encouraged to attend the in-person opportunities offered once a week for face-to-face instruction, collaborating with classmates, engaging in projects, and performing experiments.

    Schedule

We follow the conventional calendar and our grading periods occur quarterly.
